Since 2005, David Benck has served as Vice President, General Counsel, and Assistant Secretary for Hibbett Sports, a sporting goods distributor with over 1,050 retail locations in approximately 36 US states. He previously served as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Momentum Telecom from 2001 to 2005 and corporate counsel for edetacom prior thereto. Benck is a member of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland. Additionally, he has served as panel arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association since 2002. He has taught at Cumberland School of Law since 2008. Benck has been a member of the boards of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, representing the Birmingham branch; the American Arbitration Association (New York) and USA Gymnastics. He received his juris doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1993 and his bachelor’s degree in economics from Birmingham-Southern College in 1990.
