At a press conference celebrating the 1,000-day countdown to The World Games 2021 Birmingham, local organizers today announced the first three corporate partners of the international, Olympic-style event. Birmingham-based Alabama Power, Protective Life and Regions Bank will serve as Foundation Partners of The Games.

The International World Games Association (IWGA) today announced the official sports programme for The World Games 2021 Birmingham.
SUCCESSFUL FIRST MEETING IN BIRMINGHAM
The first Coordination Committee meeting for The World Games 2021 was held last week in Birmingham, Alabama. The agenda covered many items, in particular the budget, the sports programme and the venues for the Games.
The International World Games Association was founded in 1981.
Every four years, 100+ countries participate in the world games.
The World Games is organized by the International World Games Association.
3600+ athletes compete for the gold in more than 180 medal events.
The IWGA is made up of 37 international sports federations members.
The world games is a multi-disciplinary sport event consisting of non-Olympic sports.
